Process Optimization
On many projects there are millions of dollars of capital and operating costs that can be saved by performing up front optimization studies. Fees for these services typically represent a very small fraction of the savings we are able to generate, and we complete our work in a timeframe that does not impact your project schedule.
At BPA, unlike any other firm, we start with our in-depth knowledge of bioprocessing technologies – the traditional, the recently commercialized and those under development. We make our customers aware of available processing options, who has them, and what we would recommend for inclusion in their project, based on project timing and cost considerations.
BPA provides process optimization services. With bioprocess expertise and software technologies currently available, we are able to optimize any process in a matter of weeks. This can be done for both existing and new manufacturing and development facilities. Although we have relationships with the top software developers and service providers, BPA has formed a relationship with Applied Process Technologies (APT) in Newton, MA. We feel that APT possesses a unique optimization technology that provides highly efficient designs quickly and cost-effectively.
Once the paper and computer studies are complete, we work with the owner’s team to maintain the focus required to bring these savings to fruition.
